There's nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and open a vein. ~Walter Wellesley “Red“ Smith

I lied yesterday. The most important lesson I've learned in my eight years of beating Nanowrimo isn't to write one word. No, lesson #1 is to ignore the 50,000 word giant in the room. Don't obsess over all those words. If all you do is focus on how ridiculously far away you are from your goal, you'll never find success. You'll never find the motivation or the momentum to finish. Narrow your focus instead to what you can accomplish-- your daily goal.

1,667 words are all you need to write each day to win Nanowrimo. 1,667 words are manageable. They aren't intimidating. They aren't that nasty giant number, breathing down your neck, whispering how close to failure you are. 1,667 words can be knocked out by most people in 1 to 2 hours.

Focus on what you can accomplish in a single day. Leave the worrying for the last week and just write.

What did you accomplish today?

Angie and I are accomplishing shit RIGHT NOW and it feels awesome! Both of us got over 1k knocked out in our first half-hour of writing. I also decided to switch my story to third person and that's helping cut down on the rambling in my story a little bit, though I'm waiting for my characters to click in such a way that I don't have to rely on describing the heroine's yellow handwritten essay to get my words in.

I have laid out my battle plan for tonight when I get home: make tweaks and additions to cover art blueline, start thinking about/experimenting with title lettering and placement, and decide whether or not I want to/should add character names to the individual calendar pages. ANY AND ALL INPUT IS APPRECIATED ON THAT LAST ITEM. <333

Otherwise, see icon. XD I really ain't feeling work today...

I personally don't see the need to put the name of the char on the pages. Maybe this is just because I play Deon, but hot bods should be able to speak for themselves <3

Otherwise, these are plans I like and support <3

I agree with Sage. I don't think you have to worry about character names. Hotness will suffice. <3 Besides, do you really want to cover up any hotness and/or background you've done?

So all I managed was finalizing the blueline. No progress on the progress bar, but there WILL be progress tomorrow, as I play with the lettering and go to hardline the cover art! ^_____^ Which you can see here. <333

It's really, really hard not to keep checking my word count, especially today. I had work (YAY), but didn't get much time around that. Tomorrow, my mother is coming to visit, but I'm going to bringing my laptop for later in the evening at fighter practice and hope I can make up for it before bed.

Word count for the day: 3,462

I get you about checking the word-count - I try to make it so I only glance at it once every five minutes. You did an awesome job in the face of all of your busy-ness!

5038 today and 2541 from yesterday!

Don't expect this progress from me tomorrow or Wednesday. Work is bound to interfere. Especially when it's 12:30pm to 9pm and I can't function early in the morning. XD
